Eligibility Criteria
* You have been unsuccessful following interview for the role of a BTP Police Officer or Special Constable within the last 6 months.
* Unsuccessful application or online ability testing for Police Officer, Special Constable or PCSO – must await 6 months before reapplying to any of these roles.
* Unsuccessful BTP vetting checks within the last 12 months.
* Any custodial sentence, including suspended sentences (other cautions, convictions, and involvements with the police must be declared during vetting but are not necessarily barred).
* Previous dismissal from another force or a current live investigation.
* Bankruptcy, a CCJ or an unmanaged IVA.
* Tattoos deemed offensive; face and neck tattoos considered case‑by‑case.
* Permanent right to live and work in the UK required.
* Consistent residency in the UK for the past 3 years.

How to Apply
All applications are completed online. As part of the process you will need to complete a Situational Judgement Test (SJT). If you do not pass the SJT, the application will not progress further, but you may re‑apply once the re‑application period allows.
