Location: Astrea Academy Dearne, Barnsley
Start Date: April 2026 (or sooner for the right candidate)
Salary: £33,235 - £52,064 plus TLR 2D (£5,885).
Astrea Academy Dearne is seeking a highly effective Deputy SENCO to join our committed team. This is a teaching post with a TLR responsibility. The Deputy SENCO will support the strategic and operational delivery of high-quality SEND provisions across the school, working closely with the SENCO and wider pastoral and teaching teams. The role involves coordinating interventions, supporting staff with inclusive teaching strategies, liaising with parents and external agencies, and contributing to the development of EHCPs and individual learning plans. The successful candidate will be passionate about inclusion, highly organised, and committed to Astrea's values of educational excellence for every child.
