Exeter Learning Academy Trust are seeking to appoint 2 catering assistants to be part of our schools dynamic catering team. We are looking for someone who can develop strong, positive relationships, be flexible and enjoy working as part of a team.
Post 1:
This will be a temporary post to cover a maternity absence until July 2026. The role would suit someone with catering experience. You will work as part of a team, under the direction of the Kitchen Manager. The Bowhill kitchen prepares the food for St Thomas and Ide Schools.
The main purpose of the role would be to assist in the preparation and service of food to pupils and maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen, dining room and food service areas.
The working pattern will be Monday to Friday (10 hours per week). 38 weeks per year (Term time only)
We are also advertising a permanent Catering Assistant position for hours per week, Monday - Friday For the right candidate, there is the potential to combine the 2 roles however one would be permanent, and one would be temporary.
Post 2:
A Permanent role for hours per week working 38 weeks per year (Term time part of this role you will be required to transport food between Bowhill Primary and St Thomas Primary School, and to assist in the preparation and service of food to pupils and maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen, dining room and food service areas.
This would be on a working pattern of – Monday to Friday
A driving licence and use of a car are essential for this role.
For the right candidate, there is the potential to combine the 2 roles however one would be permanent and one would be temporary.
