The Role
You will be responsible for managing a varied portfolio of clients, delivering a full suite of services while supporting the wider team. The role offers excellent variety and progression, with involvement in both day-to-day compliance and higher-level advisory work. Senior Client Manager Key Responsibilities include:
Managing a portfolio of clients on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
Preparing statutory accounts, management accounts, VAT returns, and forecasts
Preparing corporation and personal tax computations, with involvement in tax planning
Supporting clients with ad-hoc projects such as forecasting, cashflows, and due diligence
Reviewing the work of junior team members and providing training and feedback
Acting as the main point of contact for clients, resolving queries and building strong relationships
Leading client assignments from planning through to completion, ensuring deadlines are met
Identifying potential risks or issues and proposing proactive solutions
Senior Client Manager attributes:
ACA/ACCA qualified (3-5 years PQE)
Strong technical knowledge across statutory accounts, corporation tax, personal tax, management accounts, and VAT
Experience with cloud accounting platforms (Xero, Sage, QuickBooks); CCH experience desirable but training available
Strong Excel skills
Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Confident communicator with the ability to build strong client relationships
Experience of training/managing junior team members
