New Directions is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Science Teacher to work in secondary schools across Swansea and surrounding areas.

If you specialise in teaching biology, physics, or chemistry and are seeking a role in a school, we’ve got opportunities for you, especially if you’re a newly qualified teacher (NQT) or interested in supply teaching.
As a Science Teacher you’ll be expected to:
1. Teach all areas of your subject specialism
2. Organise the classroom and learning resources to create a positive teaching environment
3. Plan, prepare and teach lessons that cater for all student ability ranges
4. Motivate pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative presentation
5. Maintain discipline
6. Meet requirements for the assessment and recording of pupils’ development
7. Coordinate activities and resources within a specific area of the curriculum, supporting colleagues in the delivery of this specialist area
8. Stay up to date with changes and developments in the structure of the curriculum
9. Liaise with colleagues and working flexibly, particularly within smaller schools.
