Tyre Technician Job Description
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Tyre fitter to join our team. This role involves the installation, repair, and maintenance of tyres for various vehicles, ensuring safety and performance standards are met. The successful candidate will be physically fit, as heavy lifting is an essential part of the job.
Duties
* Inspect, replace, and repair tyres on a variety of vehicles including cars, vans, trucks and some agricultural vehicles.
* Perform wheel alignments and balancing to ensure optimal vehicle performance.
* Conduct thorough checks on tyre condition and tread depth, advising customers on necessary services if required.
* Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
* Assist in inventory management by keeping track of tyre stock levels.
* Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer queries and concerns professionally.
Requirements
* Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in tyre fitting or automotive maintenance preferred.
* Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to tyre installation and repair.
* Ability to perform heavy lifting as required, with a focus on safety practices.
* Strong attention to detail with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
* Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
