Academics are currently working with a number of specialist SEN schools and alternative provisions across East Kent who are planning their staffing structures for the new academic year. Many of these settings support pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, Autism (ASC), and ADHD, and are seeking strong Behaviour Lead who can help shape a positive and supportive school culture.
The Role
As a Behaviour Lead, you will play a key role in supporting pupils who may present with challenging behaviour, emotional dysregulation, and additional learning needs.
Typical responsibilities include:
* Leading behaviour strategies and pastoral support across the school
* Supporting pupils with SEMH, ASC, ADHD, and trauma backgrounds
* Implementing behaviour plans and targeted interventions
* Coaching and supporting staff on behaviour management strategies
* Working closely with SLT, safeguarding teams, and external professionals
* Promoting positive behaviour, engagement, and emotional regulation
The Ideal Candidate
We are keen to speak with candidates who:
* Have experience working with young people with SEMH, autism, ADHD, or behavioural needs
* Have held roles such as Behaviour Lead, Behaviour Mentor, Pastoral Lead, Inclusion Lead, or SEN Support Lead
* Are calm, resilient, and confident managing challenging situations
* Understand trauma-informed practice and relational approaches
