About the Role
Keighley College are recruiting for a Teaching Facilitator to join our Building Services Department. This role will involve teaching groups within the department and supporting other teachers and learners with preparing materials and resources. As a college, you will be part of a team whose aim is to maximise the student experience and achievement.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to start their career in education, or who already has some experience coaching or teaching and wants to progress in a forward-thinking and supportive organisation.
What You Will Do
1. Plan, prepare and develop schemes of work, lesson plans, teaching and learning resources, including the development of on-line learning resources, for identified modules.
2. Deliver sessions across the curriculum using a wide range of teaching methods for identified modules.
3. Develop and employ assessment activities for identified modules.
4. Assess student work, provide feedback to help the learner improve, and record learner’s progress for identified modules.
5. Create individual learning plans, which include targets.
6. Prepare materials for lessons and learners.
7. Any other admin tasks that are required for the efficiency of the department.
About You
8. You will enjoy working with young people, with the ability to inspire, lead and develop effective and respectful relationships with and between students, college staff and external partners.
9. A passion for bringing out the best in others and collaborate in a range of contexts.
10. Relevant up-to-date subject knowledge of the motor vehicle industry.
11. Ability to inspire and motivate learners to achieve their optimum.
12. Have a willingness to gain a CertEd qualification.
