Overview
The Together for Families directorate provides support to children and families within the county. The role is a permanent full-time vacancy for a Business Support Assistant (37 hours per week) to support the work of the Health Visiting and School Nursing Teams within East Cornwall (St Austell up to Saltash/Torpoint). The role supports clinical colleagues and ensures timely communications with service users and partner agencies. It will involve a combination of office and home working, including supporting operational colleagues at Family Hubs.
Responsibilities
* Deliver or assist in the delivery of a range of administrative tasks, including the use of spreadsheets, mail merging of documents, inputting/updating information on a Case Management system, diary management, arranging meetings, note-taking, and booking training for staff.
* Provide support to clinical colleagues and ensure timely communications with service users and partner agencies.
* Work across a flexible pattern and location, with potential for remote work as part of evolving ways of working.
Working Pattern
Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.
What You’ll Need To Succeed
* 4 GCSEs (A-C) or equivalent, including English and Maths, with excellent communication and keyboard skills. Office experience is advantageous.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, ability to liaise with staff, service users and other agencies. Professionalism with discretion and diplomacy. Flexibility and ability to work in a busy team and meet deadlines.
