We are looking for a Legal and Onboarding Expert in Delegated Authority, based in London.
Overview
The Delegated Authority & Portfolio Solutions team is expanding its presence in distribution channels across Europe and South Africa, overseeing key relationships for the wholesale and MGA/programs sector for all specialty lines of business. Our team manages delegated underwriting authorities and portfolios. We focus on governance frameworks, process improvement, and proactive engagement with technical underwriting and operational aspects.
The Impact You Will Have
Reporting to the Regional Head of Delegated Authority and Portfolio Solutions, you will contribute to managing the book of delegated underwriting authorities and portfolios by executing the strategy to support underwriting and managing service offerings.
You will support the management of the team and implement robust yet streamlined governance frameworks for arrangements whilst managing wide-ranging queries from the business, technical underwriting, and operational processes.
Responsibilities
* Provide guidance and oversight of the team, offering support with day-to-day queries as required and encouraging teamwork and high employee engagement.
* Build and implement streamlined processes and procedures to accommodate increasing workload and growth of the portfolio, focused on the management of facilities across the various touchpoints needed throughout the lifecycle.
* Collaborate closely with the Regional Head of Governance - Delegated Authority Business to ensure seamless and effective management of facilities, utilizing the data and infrastructure within the business to demonstrate strong grip and control of our facilities management.
* Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across the business, including Legal, Distribution, Underwriters, Claims, Compliance, Finance, Actuarial, and operations.
* Act as an educator and primary support for underwriters on all technical, facility management, controls, and processes.
* Manage and review the deal structures, consulting and agreeing on non-commercial terms and monitor and manage them in line with functional rules.
* Coordinate the onboarding of new MGA and facilities, as well as renewal contracts and terminations.
* Be responsible for coordinating and evidencing our due diligence and oversight in our systems for audit purposes. This will be demonstrated by strong data management skills and capabilities for data interrogation.
What You'll Bring to the Role
* Ideally five or more years of experience in the Delegated Underwriting Authority or Portfolio Solutions market.
* Preferred background includes roles in Delegated Underwriting, Delegated Operations, Technical Operations, or similar.
* Preferably, an understanding of and capability to use Facilities Management and Bordereaux Management Systems.
* Understanding of Xchanging is preferred.
* Strong problem-solving, multi-tasking, and analytical abilities.
* Comfortable working both independently and in a team environment.
* Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize while maintaining focus on detail and quality of deliverables.
* You should be able to integrate AI-driven insights into your work to optimize outcomes and support broader organizational goals.
* Fluent English skills, with any other languages being advantageous.
