Quality Engineer

An established engineering and manufacturing business is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to enhance product quality, supplier performance, and drive continuous improvement across operations. This hands-on role is ideal for someone who thrives in problem-solving, enjoys working cross-functionally, and is keen on driving robust quality processes in a structured engineering environment.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Support and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) in line with relevant ISO standards.
* Lead and participate in internal, customer, and supplier audits.
* Manage non-conformances, concessions, and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
* Conduct root cause analysis and ensure effective corrective actions are implemented.
* Support quality planning, inspection activities, and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Act as a quality point of contact for manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain teams.
* Assist with customer quality issues and contribute to timely, effective resolutions.
* Monitor supplier quality performance and support improvement actions.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Proven experience as a Quality Engineer or in a similar quality-focused role.
* Background in engineering or manufacturing environments.
* Strong understanding of quality tools and methodologies (e.g., 8D, FMEA, SPC).
* Experience working within ISO-based quality management systems.
* Confident communicator, comfortable working with internal teams and external suppliers.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with great attention to detail.
* Able to manage priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.
