This is a position for a Healthcare Assistant to work in a 16-bed specialist rehabilitation service for women with mental illness and/or personality disorder. Overview
The role involves providing care and support to residents with a focus on compassionate, person-centred care within a challenging but rewarding environment.
Main duties / Responsibilities
* Join an inclusive and supportive team that provides care to people with a range of mental health conditions.
* Conduct ward rounds, analyze behaviours, and adapt care accordingly in collaboration with colleagues.
* Update patient records and provide overall care and support, including assisting with personal hygiene as required.
* Maintain a positive attitude, compassion, resilience and vigilance to navigate a demanding environment, with the aim of enabling patients to improve and gain independence.

Location: Chesterfield Road, Alfreton, Derbyshire DE55 7DT. You will be working at Field House and Apartments – a 16-bed specialist rehabilitation service for women with mental illness and/or personality disorder. The service blends traditional rehabilitation with single and dual occupancy apartments to support a seamless care pathway. There is a strong emphasis on positive risk-taking to promote self-reliance, trust, and self-esteem, with a focus on psychological input.
