Description
We are looking for a highly analytical and commercially focused Data Analyst to support financial control, reporting capability, and operational insight within a fast-paced F1 car manufacturing environment. This role will play a key part in strengthening budget discipline, improving data quality, and enabling fast, data-driven decision-making to maximise performance.
Working closely with Finance, Operations, IT, and Programme Management teams, you will deliver meaningful analysis, drive process improvements, and provide actionable insights that support both strategic and operational objectives.
Key Responsibilities
* Consolidate, analyse, and interpret actuals versus budget and forecast data, identifying key variances, risks, and opportunities.
* Deliver transparent reporting and financial insight across manufacturing and operational activities.
* Translate complex financial and operational data into clear, actionable recommendations for stakeholders.
* Support operational and strategic decision-making through robust financial analysis and scenario modelling.
* Identify cost-saving opportunities with detailed analysis and reporting.
* Monitor and report on inventory, stock lifing, obsolescence, and Bill of Materials (BoM) to highlight cost risks and efficiencies.
* Collaborate with Finance, IT, and Cost Engineering teams to improve data quality, integration, and reporting processes.
* Support ERP optimisation and integration activities, ensuring financial and operational data is structured effectively for analysis.
* Drive improvements in data governance and promote best practice data management across the business.
* Proactively review operational transactions and processes to maximise efficiency and improve financial control.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
* Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, project costing, and financial analysis processes.
* Experience within engineering, manufacturing, motorsport, or other high-performance technical environments.
* Proven experience using ERP systems, including IFS and Epicor.
* Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong capability across Microsoft Office applications.
* Advanced data analysis and visualisation skills, including Power BI and data modelling.
* Ability to interpret complex datasets and communicate findings clearly to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
* Detail-oriented, commercially aware, and highly results-driven with strong decision-making capability.
* Self-motivated with the ability to work calmly under pressure, manage competing priorities, and build strong working relationships.
