WSP is an international leader in Intelligent Infrastructure (II) with a strong track record of applying leading‑edge lighting, information and communication technologies to optimise efficiency, safety and customer experience.
The Lighting and Energy Solutions (L&ES) group of II provides comprehensive lighting and electrical engineering design and advisory services for all aspects of light, lighting and low‑voltage energy. The team works with clients across public and private sectors, both locally and internationally.
The L&ES group specialises in six discipline areas:
* Architectural Lighting: Providing specialist design solutions fully integrated within the architecture to create spaces that are beautiful, comfortable, and inspiring.
* Electrical & EV: A comprehensive design and advisory consultancy service for all types of lighting, sign installations, electric vehicle charge points and market trader facilities.
* Environmental Lighting: Advisory to assist clients in reducing the environmental impact of lighting from concept through to maintenance.
* Local Government: Supporting clients with delivery of daily activities including design, smart space application, technical report development and asset management.
* Strategic Road Network: Providing knowledge from initial network appraisal, survey support, optioneering, design, operation and management of the UK’s highways.
* Technical Excellence: Providing specialist advice and support to facilitate sustainable and resilient change through research, policy, Future Ready and Expert Witness services.

We’d love to hear from you if you have:
* Experiences in working on high‑quality consultancy‑style lighting projects aligned with one of the areas described above.
* A proven ability to analyse and interpret information from various sources and communicate your findings effectively.
* Experience working either as a client, consultant or contractor, ideally within a transport, public sector, or high‑risk environment.
