About the Role As a Complex Needs Practitioner (Recovery Worker), you will support individuals affected by substance misuse through person-centred interventions that empower them to reduce risk, build resilience, and achieve positive outcomes. Working across community settings and multi-agency partnerships, you will provide tailored support to people referred through health, social care, and community pathways. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team delivering high-quality psychosocial interventions within the One Recovery Buckinghamshire (ORB) service. What You'll Do Manage a caseload of individuals with complex needs related to substance misuse. Build positive relationships with service users and their families. Complete assessments, care plans, psychosocial interventions, and aftercare support. Develop personalised, outcome-focused support plans based on individual strengths and goals. Identify, assess, and manage risks, including safeguarding concerns. Coordinate support with partner agencies to ensure timely and effective interventions. Advocate for service users to access health, social care, housing, and other community services. Promote recovery, independence, wellbeing, and harm reduction. Maintain accurate case records and documentation in line with GDPR and organisational policies. Participate in clinical case discussions and multi-agency meetings. What We're Looking For Understanding of drug, alcohol, and wider health-related issues. Experience working with adults in addiction services, housing, social care, mental health, or related settings. Ability to build trusting relationships with individuals facing complex challenges. Strong communication, organisation, and case management skills. Knowledge of safeguarding, risk assessment, and person-centred support approaches. Commitment to helping people achieve positive, holistic outcomes and sustained recovery.
