Salary: Grade 5, £34,610 - £41,064per annum

Full time: 35 hours per week

Fixed Term: 12 months

The post - Workforce Data Analyst

The University is seeking a highly motivated Workforce Data Analyst to support its strategic workforce planning through the development and delivery of insightful, data-driven analytics. This temporary role will be instrumental in extracting, validating, and analysing workforce data to produce accurate statistical reports and dynamic dashboards for both internal and external stakeholders. A key focus will be ensuring the integrity of data used in statutory reporting, helping to drive informed decision-making across HR and Payroll functions.

We're looking for a detail-oriented individual with strong technical expertise, particularly in the use of the iTrent payroll system, and a proven ability to maintain high standards of data quality and accuracy. The ideal candidate will bring robust quantitative analysis skills and a proactive approach to identifying trends and opportunities. Experience working collaboratively within a team environment is essential, along with a commitment to sharing knowledge, supporting colleagues, and contributing to continuous improvement and operational efficiency.

Alongside a positive, problem-solving attitude, the successful candidate should have the following:

* A degree or equivalent qualification or experience in a relevant field (e.g., Data Science, Statistics, Computing, Economics, or similar)
* Experience working with large datasets
* Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Qlik, Power BI, Tableau)
* Specialist experience demonstrating sustained development in a series of increasingly demanding work roles in a similar or related area of responsibility.
* Strong quantitative analysis skills and proven experience of ensuring data quality and accuracy
