Position Summary: This role involves leading and motivating a team, coordinating daily tasks, monitoring performance, and ensuring that all processes are completed safely, accurately, and on time. You will plan and manage a team of Warehouse Operatives on a daily basis to achieve daily workload. Ensure audit readiness is maintained in the Warehouse at all times, including compliance to all legislation appertaining to Health & Safety, Employment Law, Food Safety and company hygiene standards. Make sure Team Leaders are briefed and fully aware of what is required on a daily basis for their assigned area. Cover the Shift Managers holiday and absences. Key Responsibilities: Manage the daily tasks a team to ensure the Warehouse achieves against planned targets and all relevant KPI's Manage and understand the WMS system Knowledge and understanding of Shift Manager role and what is required to cover in their absence MHE - Maintaining and changing of batteries Loading - Freezer/Chill/Dry- Loaded correctly and on time QIP - Making sure that the shift follow QIP guidelines and that daily paperwork complete. Raising product issues with the Quality manager To work efficiently and effectively as part of a team To ensure all cages picked and loaded meet MBUK standards To manage the work area to ensure clean and tidy at all times To maintain high levels of Health and Safety standards To achieve the targets and job standards set out by management To be adaptable and flexible in your approach to work To perform any reasonable request from Management To work in a multi-temperature food storage environment. Qualifications Technical competencies Previous management experience in a similar FMCG operation Previous experience of MS computer packages to intermediate level Good performance management skills Previous experience with conducting interviews Experience of managing within a union environment - Desirable Formal management skills, experience of employment law, and HR processes - Desirable People-First Culture: At Martin Brower, our employees are our greatest asset.
