ABOUT THE ROLE:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Logistics Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the movement of goods from suppliers to customers, ensuring deliveries are completed on time and in full. You will work in a collaborative, supportive environment that values your unique perspective and contributions.
You will have at least 18 months to 2 years relevant experience in FMCG, logistics, supply chain or transport coordination, ideally in FMCG. It’s essential that you’re competent in MS Office, including Excel. You’ll be approachable and highly organised, with fluent written and spoken English.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Coordinate inbound shipments from overseas suppliers and UK ports
* Arrange transport and deliveries to customers across the UK
* Liaise with freight forwarders, hauliers, warehouses, and customers
* Track shipments and resolve any delays or issues
* Maintain accurate records of orders, deliveries, and stock movements
* Support stock control and warehouse coordination
* Manage and monitor customer stock returns, including arranging collections and updating records
* Handle and reconcile pallet accounts, including managing pallet movements and balances for CHEP and LPR
* Ensure all paperwork and documentation is completed correctly (e.g. delivery notes, customs paperwork)
* Communicate effectively with internal teams including customer services sales and purchasing
REQUIREMENTS:
* Relevant experience in FMCG, logistics, supply chain or transport coordination.
* Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in diverse teams.
* A problem-solving mindset and a willingness to learn, whether through formal training, work experience, or self-driven learning.
* Familiarity with pallet control systems and knowledge of import/export is a plus, but training will be provided.
