Title: Winter Patrol Driver

Join our Winter Crew! We are recruiting for Winter Patrol Drivers to join our NMC South West account in Ayr. These roles will be a 6-month fixed term contract between November and April and you will work on a 4 on 4 (or 4 on 2 off) rota.
Responsibilities
* The safety of yourself and others within your team, ensuring compliance with relevant health and safety legislation and safe operation to protect members of the public
* Carrying out vehicle checks prior to shift starting, correctly filling in defect books
* Driving and operating vehicles/plant requiring general and specialist skills, maintaining high technical standards
* Allocation and capturing time and resource utilisation in line with operated allocation system
* Attending project and work briefings as required
* Keeping records, completing all necessary paperwork, communicating, and liaising with other Amey employees, sub-contractors, the emergency services, the police, the general public, clients and customers
Qualifications
* A valid HGV Class 2 license, and a full Drivers CPC qualification card
* Previous winter experience and a telehandler qualification would be preferred
* Problem solving skills
* Self-motivated and pro-active in terms of delivering solutions
* Good communication skills
