We are seeking a Crewing Manager, reporting directly to the Director of Flight Operations. The role of the Crewing Manager is integral to the smooth running of the company’s flying operations.

Your primary role is to provide oversight and guidance to the Crewing team members whilst also facilitating the effective delivery of the company flying programme, including VIP, Special Missions and bespoke trial support aircraft, whilst considering the safety, legal and commercial implications of the Crewing team’s actions.

Role Responsibilities are, but not limited to:

* Oversight of the Business Unit Crewing teams, proactively engaging with and supporting each team as necessary, supervising and maintaining the safe, compliant and efficient delivery of our crew rosters.
* To provide sound Flight Time Limitations advice to the Crewing teams and Operations department, ensuring that all crews remain within regulatory limitations, conducting ongoing legality checks to ensure compliance with the Company flight time limitations schemes.
* Liaise with Leon software provider to maintain accurate scheme calculations in the OCC operational software.
* Chairing and coordination of daily, weekly and monthly Crewing meetings, with all necessary Business Unit Crewing team members.
* Proactive management and resolution of upcoming FTL violations, ensuring that any policy or FTL breaches are swiftly actioned/reported.
* Writing, developing and delivering initial and recurrent FTL training material to all members of Crewing and Operations Control (OCC).
* Monitoring individual Business Unit compliance within overarching regulatory framework.
* Ensure that discretion reports, contractor logs, monthly FTL violation reports and roster robustness checks are actioned and completed in a timely manner.
* Assist Business Unit Crew Planners during periods of team absence.
* Writing and maintaining Crewing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Crew Planning Instructions.
* Remaining up to date on all legislative requirements and applying this knowledge to protect our flight operations with a commitment to the highest standard of flight safety and commercial awareness.

The ideal candidate would be able to demonstrate the following skills, knowledge and experience:

* Previous experience of crewing and rostering within an aviation environment is essential.
* Working knowledge of the UK CAA’s Flight Time Limitations schemes.
* Process and detail orientated with a proven record of managing change, complexity and ambiguity.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to lead, work with and influence a team.
* An assertive and constructive problem-solving nature is essential, with the ability to generate ideas and alternatives through logical thinking.
* Stress resilient and self-motivated, often working under pressure and to tight deadlines in a reactive environment.
* Strong I.T literacy and a capable user of the Microsoft Office Suite, with particular experience in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
* Works under own initiative, requiring minimal guidance from the Director of Flight Operations.
* Continually and proactively seeks new ways of working to improve overall business performance.
* Promotes an open safety reporting culture amongst the team.
