Orka Financial is working with a well-established business based in Basingstoke, who are looking to hire an Accounts Payable Assistant to join their fast-growing finance team. You will be reporting to the Finance Manager and working within a busy accounting department. This is an excellent opportunity for an Accounts Payable Assistant who has previous experience supporting the AP function, dealing with suppliers on a daily basis, assisting with month-end processes, and managing day-to-day accounts payable queries. Responsibilities Processing multi-currency purchase invoices Month end journals - prepayments Intercompany reconciliation's Monitoring the AP mailbox Carrying out monthly supplier statement reconciliations and following up on any queries Dealing with telephone and email supplier queries Checking and processing expenses Assisting with VAT return completion Requirements Must have previous experience within an Accounts Payable role Experience processing multi-currency transactions is essential Strong knowledge of the Accounts Payable function Good IT skills, including Word and Excel Highly customer-focused, with strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with suppliers Salary & Benefits £32,000 – £35,000 excellent company benefits
