Job Description Role Purpose The Project Delivery Lead is a mid-to-senior tier position within the EHS Programme Framework, designed for project professionals who have mastered the fundamentals and are ready to step into a leadership capacity. This role is specifically tailored for our most complex work, moving beyond simple task execution to take full ownership of project direction and strategic leadership. You will be expected to navigate "grey areas" where no established manual exists, leading project resources, clients, and internal stakeholders through periods of turmoil and challenge. Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership: Transition from managing daily tasks to leading project resources and defining the strategic direction of complex delivery environments. High-Level Stakeholder Management: Proactively lead engagement at senior levels, acting as the "centre of gravity" for multiple internal and external teams to ensure alignment with EHS priorities and broader UK&I and Madrid strategies Complex Problem Solving: Apply expert critical thinking to "grey area" challenges, providing the Senior Management Team (SMT) with well-formed recommendations and strategic solutions Proactive Risk Neutralisation: Lead workstreams through complex issues with ease, navigating and neutralising risks before they manifest. Outcome-Driven Delivery: Translate delivery excellence into clinical value for clients and commercial benefits for the EHS business Governance & Logic: Ensure every project maintains an articulate audit trail where decision-making logic is self-evident, following robust project governance principles. Acceptance & Knowledge Transfer: Lead the process for Acceptance into Service and Knowledge Transfer on the new technologies your projects are implementing. Experience & Qualifications Extensive Experience: A minimum of 5 years of demonstrable success managing the delivery of technology-based projects using waterfall or agile methodologies. Proven Track Record: Substantial and evidenceable experience in managing and leading complex, large-scale projects. Professional Mastery: Must hold a PRINCE2, APM, or MSP qualification. Commercial & Business Acumen: Strong business acumen with natural commercial awareness and a deep understanding of the dynamics of project work.
