We are looking for a proactive and organised Training Academy Support Officer to help ensure all staff across the contract are fully trained to both mandatory and service-specific standards. This role plays a key part in maintaining compliance with contractual obligations and supporting the smooth operation of the Training Academy.
Job Description
Working closely with Service Managers, you’ll coordinate training activities, maintain accurate training records, and support the delivery of induction and refresher sessions. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administrative or customer service experience who enjoys working with people and managing varied responsibilities in a supportive and flexible environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Coordinate the day‑to‑day activities of the Training Academy, liaising with Heads of Service and operational supervisors.
* Act as the first point of contact for all new starters across both hospital sites.
* Conduct new starter inductions and ensure training packages and materials are ready for delivery.
* Manage training calendars, book classrooms, and ensure spaces are prepared for daily sessions.
* Prepare and distribute training materials, including feedback forms and instruction notes.
* Maintain and update accurate training records, schedules, and attendance sheets.
* Upload completed training data and evidence to the MyLearning platform, ensuring all information is audit‑ready.
* Support colleagues in meeting training deadlines and maintain a professional approach when dealing with staff queries.

* Excellent interpersonal skills and confidence addressing groups.
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word, with excellent attention to detail.
* Strong organisational and multitasking ability, able to manage deadlines independently.
* Smart, confident, and flexible with a proactive, self‑starter attitude.
* Keen learner with a positive, can‑do approach and good timekeeping.
