Overview

We are looking for a highly versatile, professional, self‑motivated and driven individual, who will be working as part of a small customer service team helping to support the smooth running of our Bonnyrigg site. Working within a fast‑paced environment, the ideal candidate will possess excellent communication, customer service and organisational skills. They must demonstrate flexibility with a hands‑on approach and willingness to accept variety of tasks.


The Company

Johnsons Hotel Linen, which specialises in supplying the corporate 4‑star market and the budget hotel sector is seeking a talented individual to take on the role of Customer Service Administrator in a busy and challenging environment.


The Role Will Involve

* Answering all incoming telephone calls and emails.
* Keying in customer requirements for deliveries.
* Arranging transportation of any necessary emergency deliveries.
* Assisting all visitors.
* Ensuring delivery paperwork is in place where appropriate.
* Outbound calling to customers.
* Resolving customer queries.
* Logging all customer contact.
* Ensure that there is excellent communication with the external service team.
* Keeping accurate records for customer requests and responding to queries in a timely manner.
* Develop comprehensive knowledge on the customer service system and the portal, providing both colleagues and customers with advice and support.
* Adhere to strictest confidentiality standards with regards all Company financial and salary matters.
* Develop strong relationships with key customer contacts.
* Take ownership of Customer issues, resolving and feeding back to the Customer.
* Ensure that you fully comply with the relevant Health & Safety legislation.
* Ensure your workspace is clean and tidy at all times and equipment is maintained, in good working order.
* To attend training courses as required.
* To foster and maintain good working relations throughout the Company.
* Other ad‑hoc duties as required.

The successful candidate will be required to work 5 days per week, which will include occasional Saturday working (no Sunday working).

You must enjoy working as part of a team and will be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills gained within a customer service environment. Good numeracy and Excel skills are a must for this role as are IT literacy in Word and Excel and an aptitude for learning new IT systems.
