Job Summary
Successful candidate will be required to work 35hrs per week
Monday to Friday between the hours of 8am and 6pm.
Role Overview
This is an exciting time for East Dunbartonshire Council as we develop our Early Years and Childcare Services to meet the needs of parents and families, in line with the Children and Young People (Scotland) Act 2014. We have expanded early learning and childcare to 1140 hours for all 3 and 4-year-olds and eligible 2-year-olds, creating new opportunities within our workforce.
You will be part of a team supporting the development of high-quality early years services for children and families. Your responsibilities include providing children with appropriate experiences and learning opportunities, in accordance with local and national curriculum guidance and care standards. You will also help create a safe, caring, stimulating, and inclusive environment for parents and families.
Ideal candidates will be enthusiastic, articulate, and possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with an understanding of confidentiality's importance.
You must hold a relevant childcare qualification as specified in the role profile.

PVG / Disclosure Scotland
All roles within East Dunbartonshire Council requiring PVG/Disclosure checks will follow the criteria outlined below:
* If the role is considered a Regulated Role under the Disclosure (Scotland) Act 2020, successful candidates must join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme Update check before employment is confirmed.
* The cost of the check will be deducted from the first salary payment, with possible installment options in specific circumstances, subject to HR approval.
* If employment ends before full deduction, the remaining amount will be deducted from the final salary.
