Our client is a well-established, independent, not-for-profit membership organisation that supports a specialist professional community across the UK and Ireland.
They deliver a busy programme of in-person and online events to keep their members informed about sector developments, while creating valuable opportunities for networking with peers, senior stakeholders, and industry leaders.
The Opportunity
This is a
hands-on, varied role
at the heart of a collaborative membership organisation—ideal for someone who enjoys taking ownership of projects and delivering seamless event experiences.
You'll lead the operational delivery of flagship events including an
Annual Conference
and an
Awards Ceremony
alongside a year-round calendar of webinars and virtual events.
You will also manage
membership administration
and provide support with
membership-related finance task.
The role will suit an organised, commercially minded events professional who's confident dealing with high-profile speakers, sponsors, and senior stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Events:
* Plan and deliver large-scale in-person events such as the Annual Conference and Awards
* Coordinate all event logistics, including suppliers, speakers, schedules, and volunteers
* Host webinars and virtual events (typically via Zoom)
* Oversee event communications, branding, materials, and signage
* Work closely with marketing colleagues to promote events
Membership:
* Manage onboarding of new and returning members
* Handle membership queries, renewals, and reporting
* Administer the organisation's CRM/membership platform and website
* Support membership-related finance processes (e.g., invoicing, reconciliations, reporting)
About You
We're looking for someone who brings:
* Excellent organisational and project-management skills
* Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines
* Confidence using digital tools (CRM or membership platforms preferred)
* Experience delivering both in-person and virtual events
* A collaborative approach and willingness to support a small, busy team
Desirable:
* Experience in a membership organisation or professional association
* Familiarity with Zoom, Microsoft 365, or CRM systems
* Marketing knowledge and/or a degree in Events Management
* Ability to travel for in-person events (mainly in the Midlands, with occasional meetings in London)

Hours:
Monday–Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm (with occasional travel and some weekend work during the Annual Conference)
