Accounts Payable/Ledger Manager | West Malling, Kent (Hybrid) | £30,000 - £36,000
My client, a growing UK business, are currently seeking an Accounts Payable/Ledger Manager to join them on a permanent basis. This is a hands-on leadership role, managing a small team of three. You'll be responsible for checking and reviewing their work, ensuring accuracy, and providing support and guidance where needed.
Role and Responsibilities:
* Leading and developing a team of three finance staff
* Reviewing and auditing their work, providing coaching and feedback
* Ensuring robust financial controls across purchase ledger, expenses, petty cash, and related processes
* Preparing and contributing to quarterly reports for senior management
* Working closely with the wider finance team to identify risks, improve processes, and support ad hoc investigations
* Occasionally visiting UK sites to ensure compliance and process consistency
Essential Skills:
* Previous experience managing or supervising a finance team (AP, AR, or audit background)
* Strong eye for detail and accuracy with the ability to meet strict deadlines
* Confident Excel skills
* Ideally working towards (or holding) an accounting qualification (AAT or ACCA)
* A collaborative team player who can also manage their own workload
Package:
* £30,000 - £36,000 per annum
