The role
Fram is working with a lender that is looking to engage with a Head of Development Finance to support the continued growth of its property finance division. The business has ambitious growth plans, a strong market presence, and is seeking someone who can combine personal origination with leadership, credit judgement, and commercial oversight. The role centres on development finance and larger property-backed transactions, with responsibility for originating new business, managing introducer relationships, and supporting the team in converting opportunities into completed facilities. The successful individual will be expected to bring an established network and a track record of generating business within the property finance market. Alongside business development responsibilities, the role involves structuring and negotiating transactions, assessing risk, and ensuring lending activity meets the firm's quality and credit standards. There is a strong emphasis on balancing growth with disciplined underwriting and maintaining a consistent approach to deal selection and execution. The position also includes responsibility for developing colleagues, improving performance, and helping create a high-performing culture. The environment is fast paced and commercially focused, with clear expectations around leadership, accountability, and delivery. This may appeal to someone from a development finance, property finance, commercial real estate lending, or specialist banking background who enjoys combining origination with leadership responsibility. The role would suit an individual who is commercially driven, highly motivated, and comfortable operating at both a strategic and hands-on level. Experience of structuring transactions, managing credit risk, and developing introducer relationships will be important.
