The Nurse Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the nurse agency and the delivery of high-quality complex care packages in the community. This role ensures safe, effective, and person-centred care while maintaining regulatory compliance, managing staff, and supporting business growth. Requirements Clinical Leadership & Governance Provide strong clinical leadership across all agency and complex care services Ensure all care delivered meets current clinical standards, best practices, and regulatory requirements Conduct clinical audits, risk assessments, and implement quality improvement plans Act as the clinical escalation point for complex cases and incidents Complex Care Management Oversee the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of complex care packages Develop and review person-centred care plans tailored to individual needs Liaise with multidisciplinary teams (GPs, consultants, therapists, commissioners) Ensure safe management of clinical interventions (e.g., tracheostomy care, ventilation, PEG feeding, medication management) Staff Management & Development Recruit, train, and supervise nurses and healthcare staff Conduct regular supervisions, appraisals, and competency assessments Ensure all staff maintain up-to-date clinical skills and mandatory training Manage rotas to ensure safe staffing levels and continuity of care Participate in “out of hour” requirements.
