Description
Prepare and analyse monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Support budgeting and forecasting processes to aid strategic decision-making.
Monitor financial performance and provide variance analysis with actionable insights.
Reconcile balance sheets and maintain financial controls.
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Assist with year-end audits and prepare required documentation.
Identify opportunities for process improvements within financial operations.
Provide financial support and advice to department heads and senior management.Profile
A successful Management Accountant should have:
A recognised accounting qualification or part-qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA).
Proven experience in management accounting within the retail industry or a similar sector.
Strong proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
A thorough understanding of financial regulations and compliance requirements.
Able to commute to our client's offices in Derbyshire.
