We are currently looking for an Asphalt & Recycling Manager, to be based at our Mansfield plant, reporting into the Area Operations Manager.Whilst at understanding of asphalt production is preferrable, you don’t necessarily need to be an expert in asphalt as full product training will be provided. You will however have transferrable experience of managing a high performing team working in a similar operational environment where colleague engagement, safety and efficiency are key.
Key Responsibilities

4. Strong people management skills, with experience in employee relations, performance management, recruiting, training and coaching.
5. Compliance – Educate, inform and challenge where necessary
6. Taking ownership of all compliance and safety training for the plant department and employees.
7. Overseeing personnel training for all plant employees, including training on the operation of equipment and machinery.
8. Ensuring Site Health and Safety standards are prioritised and maintained at all times.
9. Management of KPI/Budgets/Targets, Recycling Budgets
10. You will ensure the asphalt unit complies to ISO 9001 & 14001
11. You’ll oversee the continual improvement of the site practices take ownership of the site PPM scheme and the effective maintenance scheduling.

21. Existing knowledge of recycling management would be beneficial but not essential, preferably with WAMITAB or working towards
22. Full, clean UK driving license, as this role may require occasional travel to other sites
23. Ideally QCF Level 4, or equivalent, or willing to work towards this
24. A good level of IT/PC Literacy, especially in relation to software applications (i.e., Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
