About the Role
In this role, you will lead and drive the effective and safe delivery of FM services for a major international retail client in the EMEA region within a Principal Contractor framework.
Main Responsibilities
* Drive the Macro business model into a long‑term relationship and deliver growth in line with expectations.
* Spearhead the safe and effective delivery of facilities management operations across multiple sites within EMEA through the implementation and compliance with Safety First, Second Nature, and adherence to local regulations.
* Own relationship management with the client, ensuring effective communication and feedback while delivering customer satisfaction excellence and optimising KPI scores.
* Create a high‑performance team by developing, engaging and inspiring team members with targeted mentoring and coaching where necessary.
* Foster a one team “can do” culture throughout the supply chain to create best in class service delivery.
* Maintain an overview of the client’s changing operational needs to ensure resourcing levels are sufficient and service delivery processes remain robust.
* Take responsibility for unresolved operational escalations and continuously develop service delivery in relentless pursuit of improvement.
* Lead change and small projects (including the mobilisation of new sites as per the client’s growth plans) in a responsive and controlled manner, ensuring minimal disruption to the customer.
* Be responsible for the P&L performance of the account, seeking to maximise commercial opportunities and taking timely actions to mitigate risk.
* Ensure account‑wide processes and procedures are documented and kept up to date to maintain continuity of performance.
* Act as a member of the Senior Management Team.
* Actively contribute to the Account QSHWE via the Safety Leadership Team.
* Embrace the latest strategic corporate vision and communicate it effectively to your team.
* Develop a thorough working understanding of the service delivery requirements of the contract and the drivers for successfully meeting Macro’s KPIs.
* Build relationships and trust with stakeholders across multiple regions.
* Develop a detailed understanding of the commercial terms of the contract and ensure all areas of risk are proactively managed and opportunities exploited.
* Acquire skills and knowledge to utilise both Head Office and client systems, ensuring governance controls are in place and meaningful data is shared.
* Work closely with the wider Macro team members.
* Reach out and collaborate with relationships with other Macro Engines for Growth divisions to create strategic opportunities for Macro.
* Adopt and embody the Macro values.
* Regularly attend Macro communication cascades to keep stay informed of current developments (Macro, Client, FM and Retail Industries).
About You
* Facilities Management experience at a senior level.
* Experience managing facilities services in the retail sector.
* Experience managing multiple sites across the EMEA region.
* Experience managing and motivating direct and supply chain teams.
* Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship building skills.
* A customer focused approach that drives client satisfaction.
* Proven leadership skills.
* Ability to build and nurture a high-performance team.
* Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
* Ability to manage change, adapt, and work flexibly.
* Excellent numeracy skills and experience managing P&L and budgets.
* Strong negotiation skills and sound commercial acumen.
* Fluency in written and spoken English.
* Strong interpersonal and effective communication skills.
* Proficiency in IT with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
* Excellent health and safety awareness.
* Experience managing HSE and wellbeing in an EMEA environment.
* Good organisational skills.
* Degree level education in relevant field.
* Professional qualification or business-related degree.
* Membership in a relevant professional institution.
* Recognised HSE Qualification.

* Experience of recruiting staff across EMEA.
* Fluency in other European Languages (French, German, Spanish, Italian).
