Grwp Llandrillo Menai was established in 2012 as a result of mergers between Coleg Llandrillo, Coleg Menai and Coleg Meirion-Dwyfor. It employs 2,000 staff and delivers courses to around 21,000 students, including over 1,500 higher education students, across Anglesey, Conwy, Denbighshire and Gwynedd.
About the Role....Do you want to expand your skills alongside your dental work and step out into the world of education?
The Work based Health and Social Care programme area (Busnes@) are looking for an enthusiastic individual who is interested in training to be an assessor for the Agored diploma in dental nursing level 3 - in the South Wales area.
Whilst currently we do not have a precise location, we would welcome applicants from South Wales to expand our delivery. The aim is to have a small team of assessors available in the area, and possible job shares would also be considered.
This qualification is the first qualification that is specific to Wales and is available through bilingual delivery. This exciting apprenticeship is a new and modern way of working to meet individual learning needs whilst obtaining high-end training. As an assessor you will use a variety of assessment methods to gather evidence to show that an apprentice meets the industry standard. These range from observations, written or verbal questions, witness testimonies, statements, patient and 360 feedback, professional discussions, quizzes, mock examinations, multiple-choice papers, and an end-point discussion.
Hours per week - 16 hours per week
Working weeks - 45 weeks per year
Annual Leave -There will be an entitlement to pro rata paid holiday in each academic year (1st September to 31st August), which includes pro-rata entitlement of 8 Bank and Public Holidays normally observed in Wales and a pro-rata entitlement of up to 5 efficiency days (please note this can change annually). Annual leave is derived from a pro rata full time equivalent entitlement of 46 days which is included in the hourly rate paid.
