Site Operations Manager The Site Operations Manager role is crucial to enhancing operational performance and maintaining high standards. You will identify and implement an operational strategy for the business that maximises the output of all its assets in a safe and efficient manner, developing a customer focused culture throughout all levels of the business, driving an ethos of continuous improvement which is motivated by a safety-first mind-set, whilst ensuring the delivery of a quality OTIF product. You will help build, train and develop the teams, ensuring that our processes are efficient, effective and safe, and our people are well trained, motivated and able to thrive and develop within their roles, now and in the future. The hours are Monday to Friday 8.30 am to 5pm, although due to the nature and level of the role flexibility will be required Responsibilities Include: • Lead the Operations Team to continually achieve and wherever possible exceed productivity, operating cost, customer service and quality target levels. • Develop & embed through team-working a culture of continuous improvement. • Identify areas for improvement and drive opportunities to reduce and eliminate waste. • To develop a “safety first” approach that ensures operations are conducted in manner which fully complies with strict Health and Safety, Quality, Environmental policies and all relevant legislative requirements. • With head office support, recruit, engage, train and develop the site teams, managing performance and rewards to maintain an effective workforce capable of meeting its current and projected objectives. • Ensure all assets/machinery are maintained and operate at their optimum capability. • Formulate and agree annual operational and financial budgets that secure the resources necessary to achieve agreed workloads at optimum cost base. • Succession planning for the site. Essential Skills and Qualifications for the role: • Demonstrable experience of leading an operational function with a proven track record of delivering results in a heavy industry/manufacturing environment. • Experience of operating and influencing at a strategic level. • Health and safety qualification, preferably NEBOSH. • Excellent relationship management skills with the ability to engage, negotiate and manage key stakeholders and suppliers. • Experience of managing and achieving budgets. • Resilient, self-motivated and able to work well under pressure.
