We are looking for an experienced and qualified Mechanical Engineer to join our Dumfries branch. This is a practical, hands‑on field role with plenty of variety and opportunities for development.
Responsibilities
* Install, commission, set up and test water filtration systems on sewage treatment sites.
* Carry out site inspections, fault finding and produce survey reports for quotations.
* Access and interpret technical instructions using mobile electronic devices.
* Work at heights, in confined spaces and in all weather conditions on wastewater sites.
* Work away from home regularly, including overnight stays.
* Occasionally work in Hydro workshops across the UK.
* Collaborate with other engineers and trades as part of a strong multi‑disciplinary team.
Qualifications
* A current valid UK driving licence.
* City & Guilds mechanical engineering qualification.
* Completion of a recognised mechanical apprenticeship.
