We are recruiting on behalf of a successful food manufacturing business supplying major UK retailers. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Junior Development Technologist to join their Technical and Development team.
This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong interest in food who is looking to build a career within food manufacturing, technical, or new product development.
Key responsibilities include preparing and cooking food samples, organising samples for customer submissions, arranging courier collections, assisting with customer presentations, and supporting product specifications using internal systems. You will also help with cooking validations, recipe ideas, retailer benchmarking reports, stock control of development samples, and communication with suppliers.
The ideal candidate will be organised, detail-focused, and confident using spreadsheets and computer systems. You will be a friendly team player with the ability to prioritise tasks and work accurately to deadlines.
A qualification in food science or a related subject would be advantageous. Experience in food manufacturing or an NPD environment is beneficial but not essential.
What’s on offer:
* Salary of £24,000 to £26,000 depending on experience
* Full-time, permanent role
