Reporting to the Senior Project Coordinator, the Monitor Engineer will have experience in Operating large scale live productions in theatre or other industries. The show is very complex across all disciplines; therefore, the Audio Monitor Engineer will be able to work calmly under extreme pressure.

Experience with running a team and communicating effectively across a large organisation is essential.

Experience with some or all of the existing technical disciplines used on the show is important. Onsite training will be supplied where knowledge of technology is missing. Remote support is available also.

Your day will look like this:

* Maintain and manage the delivery of audio to the onstage live band and performers using a DiGiCo Quantum 7 Digital Mixing Console.
* Ensure the DiGiCo Q7 console and associated monitoring equipment are properly maintained and configured for each performance.
* Ensure files/pre-sets and performer settings are managed and maintained clearly.
* Collaborate effectively with the Front of House Engineer, Stage Technicians, and other crew members to achieve the best possible sound for the performers.
* Quickly identify and resolve any technical issues related to the monitoring system during rehearsals and live performances.
* Conduct regular checks and tests to maintain the highest audio quality, adjusting as necessary to accommodate changes in venue or performance requirements.
* Maintain the System Design under guidance from the Audio designer, the design team and Solotech project staff.
* Report breakages and liaise with Solotech Project Managers over running repairs.
* Learn from and teach the other member of the Solotech team so that general knowledge of the entire show is shared.
* Manage other associated control equipment within the audio department.
* Liaising with Band and Stage management on day-to-day matters.
* Undertake regular maintenance with the audio team of stage I.E band microphones, audio racks and band IEM’s.
* Proactively keep on top of spare stock level for repair works on site.
* As part of the show team, you will be expected to learn and mix the FOH plot and backstage plots to enable full cover of the show team during staff holidays and sickness.
* Any other reasonable ad-hoc requests as required by your manager.

Essential Level of education:

* Educated to degree level (or equivalent) or proven work experience.
* Industry accepted qualifications.

Work experience:

* A minimum of 3 years proven industry work experience within live events or Theatre sector, with knowledge of key controls and disciplines used within the show.

Essential Skills / Experience:

* Proficiency in operating the DiGiCo Q7 console.
* In-depth knowledge of live sound reinforcement and monitoring systems.
* Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* Flexibility to adapt to evolving performance and venue conditions.
* A passion for delivering exceptional audio experiences to live audiences.
* Flexibility and adaptability, capable of multitasking, while remaining calm under pressure.
* Show perseverance, precision, and be detail-oriented.

Desirable Skills / Experience:

* Working at height in a harness (training can be provided).
* Use of 1B Static Boom (training can be provided).

* DiGiCo Quantum Platform (Theatre Software TBC).
* Optocore.
* L-Acoustics L-ISA Control.
* L-Acoustics Network Manager.
* Figure 53 – Qlab.
* Merging Technologies – Ovation.
* Audinate – Dante.
* Luminex – AVB.
* Reidel Communications – Bolero.
* Shure PSM1000 Systems.
* Shure Axient Digital Systems.

Essential requirements:

* Right to Work and Remain in the UK.
* Ability to travel throughout the UK including overnight stays from time to time.
