Finance Assistant

What You'll Do:
Partner with the Site Accountant to prepare weekly and monthly management accounts that keep the business running smoothly.
Take ownership of specific P&L sections, analysing variances against standard and budget, and delivering timely, insightful reporting.
Ensure the Balance Sheet adds up perfectly – reviewing, reconciling, and safeguarding the financial integrity of site numbers.
Report on key performance indicators and operational data,
Analyse site capital expenditure and ensure all capital additions are accurately recorded in the asset register.
Monitor weekly stock levels for quantity and pricing accuracy, highlighting financial impacts and helping operational teams strengthen controls.
Support the creation and amendment of Bills of Materials when needed.
Collaborate closely with the Site Accountant and fellow Assistant Accountants, providing cover during holidays or exams.
Contribute to overhead reporting and control processes, ensuring accurate, timely financial insights.
