Duties and responsibilties
Deliver Housing Options – Homeless Counter services
Make sure that every application for a homelessness duty is reviewed, assessed, and processed in line with all statutory requirements, including the Homeless Reduction Act 2018.
Oversee the handling of homelessness applications and the allocation of temporary accommodation to ensure the Council fulfils its legal responsibilities.
Provide support for all desk-based and counter-related functions within the Housing Options service area.
Operate an ‘out of hours' standby service during evenings, weekends, and Public Holidays.
