Responsibilities:
Our UK agency is recruiting a new team member as an Electrical Engineer M/F to support the electrical team involved in designing, developing, and reviewing the cable routing network for the Hinkley Point C project, in accordance with UK cabling rules and nuclear regulations. The position is based in Bristol and is offered as a permanent contract.
* Provide routing reports ensuring the integrity of output data (reliable cable paths and lengths) and compliance with project requirements, UK routing rules (lifetime margins, safety function integrity, electrical segregation, etc.).
* Coordinate with the layout team to provide routing reports for assessing tray filling rates and resolving queries that may hinder routing production (3D model quality checks, civil work electrical opening management, cable tray design alignment with routing requirements).
* Conduct feasibility studies for design modifications or open points affecting routing activities. Perform risk assessments and set mitigation strategies for critical modifications.
* Gather user feedback on routing software performance, identify weaknesses, troubleshoot issues, and participate in beta testing.
Background and Skills Required:
* Electrical or Electronic Engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
* Knowledge of RCC-E electrical regulations and reference systems (NFC15-100 / NF C 13-200 / BS7671 / IEC 60909).
* Experience or education related to the nuclear sector.
* Understanding of quality processes in industrial nuclear projects.
* Proficiency with CAD tools such as PDMS/E3D, Navisworks, AutoCAD.
