The Opportunity
A vacancy has arisen for a Demand Planner in Middlesbrough, UK, on a permanent basis.
The role of the Demand Planner is to develop and maintain a rolling 16 month demand forecast by collaborating with Commercial, analysing historical sales data and market trends, considering external factors, & actively managing product changes/ introductions.
1. Work closely with Commercial to develop and maintain the rolling forecasts for selected key customers /regions which are analysed & revised in accordance with the S&OP calendar
2. Measure, analyse, and report key process metrics and monitor adherence to key performance indicators. Report on significant changes in sales forecasts, budgets, and implement solutions to improve forecast accuracy.
3. Continuously improve forecasting techniques, method and approach to track key KPI’s, such as forecast accuracy & bias on a monthly basis
4. Make recommended adjustments to forecast based on changes in demand and market trends
5. Work with Innovation and Commercial Teams to support the innovation agenda
The Skills you will bring to the team
6. Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Supply Chain Management or related area / equivalent
7. 2+ years of relevant experience ideally within FMCG environment in supply chain
8. Strong knowledge of demand planning processes & techniques
9. Good working knowledge of SAP.
10. Experience with JDA an advantage.
11. Detail oriented with extensive MS Excel and data analysis skills and strong mathematical abilities
12. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
13. Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
14. Ability to work under own initiative.
15. Proactive, independent thinker with deep analytical skills, confident managing large sets of information,
16. Experience within the European region would be advantageous
