Role: Hydraulic Service Engineer (Fluid Power)
Overview
Purpose of role: To maintain, repair installations and optimize customer fluid power equipment in an effective and efficient manner, visiting customers' sites as required and adhering to all health and safety rules.
Scope
Work directly on customers' sites, providing hands-on support for fluid power systems, undertaking maintenance, repairs, overhauls and troubleshooting issues, ensuring prompt resolution. You will also undertake installations of fluid power systems, including pipework, hydraulic systems, hydraulic power units, and cylinders, adhering to industry standards and customer specifications. The role will require you to travel as required, responding to service calls and providing on-site assistance to customers in various locations. You must ensure strict adherence to all relevant RAMS procedures, as well as health and safety requirements, to maintain a secure working environment at all times.
Key responsibilities
* System Inspection and Assessment: Conducting regular on-site inspections of hydraulic systems. Assessing the condition, performance, and efficiency of fluid power components.
* Maintenance and Repairs: Performing preventive maintenance on fluid power systems to ensure reliability. Executing timely repairs and replacements of faulty components to minimize downtime.
* Troubleshooting: Identifying and resolving issues in hydraulic systems and related components to restore optimal operation.
* Installation and Commissioning: Installing fluid power systems, including pipework, hydraulic power units, and cylinders, and commissioning new equipment to specification.
