Automotive Spot Repair & Paint Technician

Responsible for inspecting finished vehicles to identify paint imperfections, carrying out spot repairs and refinishing, and performing disassembly and reassembly of vehicle parts as required to achieve a factory-quality finish.
Key Responsibilities:
* Inspect vehicles for paint defects, scratches, dents, and surface irregularities.
* Perform spot repair and paint correction on finished vehicles.
* Carry out sanding, priming, color matching, painting, and polishing work to OEM standards.
* Disassemble and reassemble vehicle components (e.g., bumpers, trims, lights) to facilitate paint repair.
* Ensure proper blending and finishing for seamless repair.
* Work with modern paint systems and application techniques (water-based, solvent-based).
* Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, safe working environment.
* Collaborate with quality control and production teams to ensure timely delivery.
Skills & Competencies:
* Strong knowledge of automotive painting and refinishing techniques.
* Ability to detect and correct minor paint defects.
* Skilled in sanding, masking, spraying, and polishing.
* Experience with vehicle part assembly/disassembly.
* Attention to detail and focus on high-quality standards.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications:
* Relevant experience as an Automotive Paint Technician, Spot Repair Technician, or similar.
* Knowledge of paint mixing and color matching.
* Familiarity with safety standards and proper handling of paints and chemicals.

Pay: £24.00 per hour
