The Wayman Group is currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Science teacher for a fantastic school located in Barnet. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging science lessons to students in primary and secondary education, fostering a love for learning and promoting scientific inquiry exploration.
Responsibilities
1. Plan and deliver lessons that align with the national curriculum, making science exciting and accessible to students.
2. Inspire and motivate students to develop a love for science through hands-on experiments and interactive activities.
3. Assess and track student progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance for improvement.
4. Collaborate with other teachers to create cross-curricular projects and enhance the learning experience.
5. Establish a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters respect and empathy.
6. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to address any concerns or issues.
7. Stay updated on the latest advancements in science education and implement innovative teaching methodologies.
Qualifications
1. A degree in a science-related field, with a teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, etc.).
2. Previous experience teaching science at the primary or secondary level.
3. Excellent knowledge of the national curriculum and the ability to adapt lessons to meet the needs of individual students.
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
5. Passionate about science education and committed to providing high-quality teaching.
6. Well-organized and able to effectively manage time and resources.
7. A track record of creating engaging lesson plans and delivering interactive and hands-on activities.
