The Company
Seymour John are delighted to be working in partnership with, a leading manufacturer, to recruit an experienced HR Generalist for their site in Newtown, Powys. Operating in a fast-paced environment, this business is going through a period of positive transformation and this role plays a key part in supporting HR operations across various sites.
The Opportunity
This is a hands-on, varied generalist role working closely with the HR Team reporting to the HR Business Partner. You will act as a key contact for both employees and managers, providing HR advice, managing operational processes, and supporting a range of activities across the full employee lifecycle. Your key responsibilities will include:
* Handling day-to-day HR queries across the business including first-stage employee relations (absence, grievances, disciplinaries, and flexible working)
* Administering employment contracts, HR systems, and supporting the monthly payroll process
* Ensuring documentation for payroll is complete and submitted on time
* Monitoring and updating HR policies and processes in line with employment legislation
* Advising employees on rights, entitlements, and policy updates
* Supporting line managers on performance management, staffing, and employee relations matters
* Taking part in HR projects aimed at driving continuous improvement
* Supporting recruitment and onboarding, including assisting with interviews and covering for the Talent Acquisition Coordinator when required
Personal Profile
This role would suit an experienced HR professional who is confident, practical, and people focused. You'll be at ease juggling a wide range of HR duties while keeping calm under pressure and maintaining a helpful, professional manner. You’ll also need:
* Proven experience in a generalist HR role, including exposure to ER casework and recruitment
* Excellent HR administration and communication skills
* Sound knowledge of current UK employment law
* Strong IT skills and experience using HR systems
* CIPD qualification preferred (Level 3 minimum)
* Resilience, adaptability, and a proactive mindset
* Willingness to travel occasionally to other UK sites
Hours and Benefits
* 08:30 till 17:00 Monday-Thursday / 08:30 till 16:00 Friday
