GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Humanities Teacher to join a forward-thinking school in Blyth.
As a Humanities Teacher, you will plan and deliver thought-provoking lessons across the humanities subjects, helping students to develop a deeper understanding of society, culture, and the world around them. You will be part of a supportive department that values collaboration, creativity, and high academic standards.
Job Responsibilities of the Humanities Teacher:
* Deliver engaging lessons in History, Geography, or Religious Education, in line with the national curriculum.
* Differentiate learning activities to meet the needs of all students.
* Encourage critical thinking, debate, and enquiry-based learning.
* Track and report on student progress, providing constructive feedback.
* Contribute to curriculum development and enrichment activities.
* Maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
Candidate Requirements:
* UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialist in a humanities subject.
* Strong subject knowledge in one or more humanities disciplines.
* Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
* A commitment to supporting the academic and personal development of all students.
* Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
