As On Trade Sales Manager - Midlands / West UK you will operate in the UK On Trade team generating new business relationships and high-quality distribution points for our specialist, super-premium, award-winning Dutch and Belgian craft and pilsner brands, in both draught and packaged formats. Overview
This role focuses on generating new business and managing accounts within your territory, in collaboration with the National Wholesale Manager to expand our business through our wholesale network. You will balance hunting and farming to maintain and grow existing accounts.
What you will do
* Generate new business and manage accounts within your territory, reporting to the General Manager UK and collaborating with the National Wholesale Manager.
* Maintain existing accounts and achieve a balance of hunting and farming.
* Create weekly high-quality plans to generate optimal leads aligned with company KPIs and expectations.
* Diligently maintain the CRM system and data.
* Rationalize and maximize investments at outlets, understand each outlet’s needs, recommend the best route to market, and execute this strategy by selecting the most suitable RTM partner.
* Collaborate with marketing, logistics, and finance teams to achieve the best results and communicate all activities to the Head of On Trade.
Who you are
* Independent and entrepreneurial in your area, with the ability to keep the bigger picture and business strategy in mind.
* Skilled at developing relationships from scratch, able to manage your own agenda, plan effectively, and communicate clearly; a good listener.
* Interested in discovering and meeting customer needs, translating those into business opportunities, and achieving targets. You understand financial metrics and are results-oriented.
* Self-starting, resilient, capable of handling disappointments, and committed to continuous improvement.
* Desire to win as part of a team with common goals. Approximately 5 years of experience in FMCG On Trade sales; experience in the drinks industry is advantageous.
* Able to influence, negotiate, and proactively find the right solutions. Takes initiative to identify and target opportunities independently.
* Open to roles in similar positions or as a first step into field sales, with a willingness to learn, develop, and deliver excellent results.
