Bikes Maintenance Tutor
Location: Werrington
Salary: From £30,000 to £35,000
Contract: Permanent

This is an exciting opportunity to deliver hands-on cycle maintenance and repair training up to Level 2, helping learners develop practical vocational skills and supporting them to progress into employment or further training.
Working within a structured education and training environment, you will deliver engaging practical workshops, promote safe working practices, and support learners in achieving recognised qualifications.
What you’ll be doing
* Deliver cycle maintenance and repair training programmes up to Level 2
* Teach practical skills including servicing, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs
* Create structured lesson plans and engaging learning activities
* Assess learner progress and support achievement of qualifications
* Promote health and safety best practice within the workshop environment
* Embed employability, literacy, numeracy, and personal development skills into learning
* Contribute to a positive, safe, and productive learning environment
What we’re looking for
* At least 2 years’ experience in cycle mechanics, bicycle repair, engineering, or a related field
* Strong practical knowledge of bicycle servicing, maintenance, diagnostics, and repair
* Excellent communication and learner engagement skills
* Commitment to gaining teaching and assessor qualifications (support provided to get you a qualification in teaching or assessing)
* Passion for vocational training and skills development
Desirable qualifications and experience (Not essential)
* Teaching qualification (AET, PTLLS, CET or equivalent)
* Assessor qualification (TAQA, A1 or equivalent)
* Cycle mechanics or engineering qualification at Level 2 or above
* Experience delivering training, apprenticeships, or vocational learning programmes
* Experience supporting individuals with additional learning needs or diverse backgrounds
