Job description
Key Responsibilities:
1. Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality English lessons tailored to the diverse needs of students with SEN.
2. Differentiate learning activities to support individual education plans (IEPs) and ensure accessibility for all learners.
3. Create an inclusive classroom environment that fosters progress, confidence, and independence.
4. Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and external professionals to support student development.
5. Monitor, track, and report on pupil progress in line with school and statutory requirements.
Requirements:
6. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
7. Experience teaching English, ideally within an SEN setting.
8. Strong understanding of strategies to support learners with a range of additional needs (, ASD, ADHD, SEMH, dyslexia).
9. Excellent communication, organisational, and behaviour management skills.
10. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
