Production Team Leader / Supervisor
Manufacturing Environment | Days Shift | 42 Hours
We’re currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing client for a Production Team Leader / Supervisor to join their operation. This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced, shop-floor environment and is passionate about driving team performance and continuous improvement.
This role offers a 70% shop-floor focus, with responsibility for leading a team of up to 12 employees while ensuring the smooth and efficient running of site operations.
Shift Pattern - 42 hours per week, Alternating weeks: 3 days / 4 days - 6:30am – 6:30pm shifts
Key Responsibilities
* Take full responsibility for day-to-day manufacturing operations
* Lead, motivate and develop a team to achieve production and quality targets
* Coordinate production, storage and dispatch to maximise efficiency and output
* Monitor and drive performance against KPIs including output, quality and delivery
* Ensure machinery uptime by managing and escalating breakdowns effectivelyMaintain high standards across Health & Safety, quality and housekeeping
* Oversee stock control, including management of non-conforming products
* Support and drive a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellenceDeliver training and development to build team capability
* Communicate effectively across all levels of the business
What Our Client Is Looking For:
* Proven leadership experience within a manufacturing or production environment
* A proactive, motivational management style with a hands-on approach
* Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
* Experience working with KPIs and driving performance improvements
* Confident communicator, both written and verbal
* IT literate
Desirable
* ILM Level 3–5 (or equivalent leadership qualification)
* Previous experience in a supervisory or team leader role
